Mrs. Rae Painter purchased the car new in 1965. She and her family enjoyed the car in San Diego until 1999, and it was then sold and relocated to Santa Cruz, where it now resides.
It wore the license plate “Moms 65C”, until a rare “Circa 1965” license plate “CAL 356” was located and replaced it.
In 2023 the car received a bare metal paint job in a 1965 special order color, Meissen Blue.
In 2024 Willhoit Restorations modified the numbers matching engine to 165hp, 2.2 liters, plus suspension upgrades (performance and handling of a Porsche 911).
