1971 911 Speedster

Color: Silver

From: Okatie, SC

A tribute to the 1st generation 911 Speedster that Porsche never made. Stan Townes created the original in the early 1970’s. Later on, Al Holbert and His long time friend Tim Everett had ideas for Porsche’s concept Speedster. Al’s untimely death delayed everything until the early 1990’s, when Tim Everett launched “In Memory Motors” to build Speedsters based on 911 Targa or Cabriolet components. Proceeds were used to fund the Alvah R. Holbert Memorial Scholarship at Lehigh University. This car is based on a 1971 911E Targa and is an expression of what an early 911 Speedster could have been.
