This 914 was cloned off my 2 liter in the early 1980s for my friend's daughter's 18th birthday. Sherry drove it until 1998, then parked it in a barn. In 2016 I bought it. As the vinyl on the 914's sail panels has always been a fatal flaw, I painted them instead. As I like shiny paint, I slick coated the roof as well. After removing the bumper over-riders, installing 5 lug wheels and S front brakes, it is as it should have come from the factory. I had my old 2 liter motor and completely it with, a 2056 kit, larger valves and mild cam. It's the "Yella Car" and it always makes me smile.
