Bob Minner purchased a new 1973 Marathon Blue 914 2.0 from Porsche-Audi at O'Hare in IL. His son Tom and his friend Jeff were seniors in high school. Many memories were created in that car - trips to Road America, TSD rallies, Tom & his girlfriend Mary used it for Sr. prom (now married 45 years). Tom & Jeff decided to recreate the car and found a 1973 Marathon Blue 914 2.0 needing a complete restoration. Restoration work was done by friends Norm & Vince Miller with assistance from Tom & Jeff utilizing mostly used original parts. Only paint, seat repair, & caliper rebuilding were outsourced.
