Porsche introduced the front engine, water cooled 924 in 1976 as a replacement for the mid-engine, air cooled 914. The 95 hp Audi engine 924 was considered underpowered and in 1982 was superseded by the Porsche engined 944. For 1987 & 1988 the 924 was re-introduced in 924S format with the 944 Porsche 150 hp engine and transaxle, and because of its slenderer body had a marginally higher top speed than the 944. This 924S has 3 owners from new and is in original condition
