Resulting from the Mezger engine based Porsche 997 GT3RS ending production in 2012, Porsche did a major redesign of the GT3RS, the 991.1. This example is a 2016 Porsche 991.1 GT3RS, the first year of production for the new design. This gen RS’s engine has an intensely quick-to-rev nature that’s enhanced by the stock lightweight titanium connecting rods, a lightweight flywheel, and a center-mounted titanium muffler that emits an otherworldly wail up near the engine’s soaring, 8800-rpm redline.
