Porsche offered at least one shade of orange in the 70s before the color disappeared for almost two decades. It eventually returned to the palette in the explosive form of Lava Orange. Porsche also offered a Touring Package in the 70s for the legendary Carrera RS 2.7. The package then made a welcomed return to brand, first offered for the 991.2 GT3, restraining the design while retaining the performance—an instant classic. Despite this shared heritage, Lava Orange is one of the least chosen colors on the 991.2 GT3, let alone those equipped with the Touring Package. ~1 of 3 in North America.
